Custom Figure Page

Shown below are some simple customs that I have made from existing Star Trek figures. I customized only Star Trek since these are the figures I enjoy the most. These are some easy ideas for those of you who want to start customizing your own figures. I am not very creative so if I can do it you can as well:)
I have links to other people's general custom action figures pages at the bottom of this page.

Shown above is Illia in her Movie Uniform. Mego made one but it doesn't look as good:) The body is Lt Uhura in Movie uniform (Playmates Stock # 6455). Uhura's head was popped off and her body was painted grey. Illia as Probe's head(Playmates stock#65102) was then popped off and placed on the repainted Uhura body. The figure was then recarded on the Illia Probe card.

Shown above is Worf in Spacesuit from First Contact. This was a simple switch no painting required. The head and sash of the 6" First Contact Commander Worf #16105 was placed on the body of 6" Picard in Spacesuit #16115. The reassembled figure was then recarded on Worf's card.

Here's another easy one. Strip a 9" Riker figure naked and then place him in the clothes of 9" Picard in Dress Uniform #6289. There you now have a 9" Riker in Dress uniform to compliment the Picard in Dress uniform that Playmates made:)

Take the Space Suit off a Target Exclusive 9" Kirk, Spock or Cekov and the place it on a 9" Dr McCoy body. You now have a 9" Dr. McCoy from the Tholian Web.

I felt sorry for Picard since he was naked since Riker took his clothes so I redressed him to make the 9" Picard as Dixon Hill above. I used a white shirt from some Ken figure. Don't tell my sister I stole one of hers!! I used the black pants off the 9" Dr. McCoy. Dr. McCoy doesn't need them since he likes his new spacesuit:) I then bought a Rick from Casablanca for his hat and trenchcoat. After, you redress a 9" Picard with these clothes to make him look like the one above. Dixon Hill above looks great with Rick's hat, it's just I forgot to put it on the hat when taking the picture.

The 12" Picard as Dixon Hill shown above and below was made with a 12" Picard's body and the clothes of Ken as Professor Higgins from My Fair Lady. Picard is more muscular then Ken I found out because Ken clothes did not fit on Picards body!! I had to make some tears on Ken' shirt and his suits hand to get it to fit on Picard. The tie I made by ripping apart one of my old ties and sewing it together. The finished product looks great:)

Last but not least is my favorite 9" custom Quark. To make this figure, use the body of any male 9" Star Trek doll and take of the head, repaint the body if you want. Get an 9" Applause Ferengi figure and carefully cut his head off and place it on the nine inch body. The clothes I used were the black pants of one of one of the male Star Trek 9" figures, the coat off the 9" Cochram figure and some shiny material from one of my sisters mermaid dolls.
