You want it, you got it. Here's a list of kick ass links to some of the best bands on this planet!! If you think I forgot a band that should be on the page (or you are in a band that you want listed), then Email me and let me know.

Abhorrent - You HAVE to check this out!! Killer Brazilian band. Their debut CD ROCKS and there is nothing you can do but love this CD! There's audio clips of all their songs and even some clips from new songs that you can download right from their site! If the site is slow, check out their American mirror site.

Acid Bath - Check out their new album "Pagan Terrorism Tactics" ... it's GREAT!! Diab Soule and New Corpse are the best songs on the album, but there's nothing bad I can say about this album!!

Amorphis - I was never really into Amorphis that much before I became a DJ. I discovered them through my friend Chip (Who also happens to be the metal director of our radio station), so I can't tell ya much about the band. Their stuff is pretty heavy, but it's definitely worth a listening. Check them out.

Grip Inc. - Our radio station just did an interview with Dave Lombardo (founding member of this band). He's the nicest guy!! It's amazing to think that he was ever in Slayer!! Grip. Inc. sounds nothing like Slayer, in fact, I like them better! Their new album "Nemesis" should be out in stores soon, so be on the lookout.

GWAR!!!
- If you've never seen a GWAR show, go and see one! I don't care if you don't like their music, their show is something that everyone should experience at least once. I would not recomemend this band for the weak-hearted, however. The concert itself is fast paced and sexually oriented. I'll leave it at that and let you go see a show to experience the rest =)

Marilyn Manson - What can I say? They rule!! I saw them play with L7 a while back. Unfortunately, they played at the Springfield Civic Center, which is NOT a good place to go see a show. And to top it off, L7 SUCKS!!!! I don't know WHY they had them open for Manson. They only played for 45 or so minutes, leaving only after someone from the crowd threw a lit cig. at the lead guitarist. Manson puts on a great show, but I gotta tell ya, stick to the small club shows. The Civic Center (and all big places such as this) are NEVER as good as the local club shows are.

My Dying Bride - Into something a little more gothic in nature? Well then, this is the band for you! They have been around for awhile (I think since 1990, but I could be mistaken), and are still going stronger than ever. Their newest release, "Like Gods of the Sun" is their second best album that I have heard. Their best, by far, has GOT to be "Trinity". So check out either of those two albums ... or look into some older stuff, it's all great.

Sepultura - A heavy hitting band straight outta Brazil. I prefer the older albums that they have released for the reason that it was much heavier than the past couple albums. They have a decent amount of stuff released (5 albums?) and they are all pretty good. Troops of Doom and Orgasmatron are their best songs yet.

Slayer - Does this band really need ANY kind of introduction? After being around for quite some time, even non-metal fans know who Slayer is. A great band allaround, but once again, the older albums that they released I feel were better than the newer stuff. My favorite album would probably be Reign in Blood (also because it's the only one I have up at school to listen to as well!)

TOOL - Never gotten the chance to see Tool in concert. Heard they put on a great show though. Anyways, you all probably know Tool for the song "Sober". It was a HUGE success on *AcK* MTV. They have songs that are MUCH better than that. Opiate (an EP, not full length album) is the best out of the three they have released. They are currently on their Aenima tour. Wondering what the tour dates are? I just happen to have the Tool tour dates right here, so check it out.

Type O Negative - Another awesome band. If you like these guys, chances are REAL good you'd like My Dying Bride, Morgion, and Therion. The latter two of the bands are not as well known, but killer bands anyway. I've seen Type O Neg. in concert twice, and they rocked both times. Both had a great pit, and ... it just kicked ass!! Nothing more to say about these people!

Ok ... well, there ya have it. These are my opinions only on the band, and I realize that you may not agree with them. If you have any HUGE problems with anything I wrote on this page, feel free to let me know. I check my mail twice a day (at least!), so I can get back to you with anything you throw at me.
