Who Had These Comments: Recently visited Leominster, and stayed at the Four Points Hotel. Was on business, but visited relatives. My father built a house, at 1 Monarch Street in Leomister , across the Nashua River from the now Fitchburg airport. I visited Priest Street School, the Elementary school I attended before my parents move to California. Went looking for the house that my parents live in after they got married, 280 Spruce St., but it looks like it has been replaced with larger home. I have been researching my family tree on and off on the internet for a year or so, but nothing replaces actualy going there. Plane return later this year on business again, but this time I will be able to spend a few weeks. Love the web !

We lived on Spruce St. Yours is the only page I found to mention St Cecilia church. Hundreds of other Leominster pages have far less than your pages. Thank you. Can you date the picture of St Cecilia that you are presently showing. Thanks again. I will be back. Bill Rocheleau Orangevale California

Who Had These Comments: Enjoy your web site. Since Leominster is close to Westminster wonder if anyone also using your site would be compiling family history on the Wheeler surname. The city of Lawrence, Ma. is restoring a fine old 150 yr house the original owner was one Orange Wheeler who was born in Westminster,Ma. son of Josiah & Betsey Puffer on 4/24/1821. While residing in Lawrence he was in the employ of the B & M railroad. He moved to Worcester and was in the employ of his uncle Lewis Wheeler in the family business J.S.Wheeler & Co. Hermon St, Worcester. Orange was active in the Piedmont Cong Ch. of Worcester. He died ll/29/1882 leaving a widow and two daughters. The house will be named the Orange Wheeler house and even though it is probably a remote possibility wonder if a descendant of Orange might be still around to supply family info and enjoy this fine house.

Who Had These Comments: I visited Leominster, back "HOME", a few years ago, to look for 'roots' as I am related to DAVID WALSH, who was the first Catholic governor of MA back a 'few' years ago. I was born in Worcester and lived in Shrewsbury and Holyoke during my younger years ...went to college in MI and then married and have lived in another of Johnny Appleseed's claim to fame cities in FtWayne, IN.I must say that New England towns and cities find more depth in my heart and soul than here in the flatlands of Indiana. Often wish tht we were closer to come 'home' to see family and tend to the 'family 'root system'. Some day perhaps. In the mean time I continue my search in finding out more about who we are and where and how we have come from.
