Dedicated fans from the first encounter:
"I first saw EG a few weeks ago at warped tour. My friend and I went all the way to Pittsburgh. It was hotter than hell but they still rocked! Lucky for us, they were also playing the next evening in Cleveland at the Grog Shop. So we went to go see them again and it was even better. My friend and I were walking into the Grog when we recognized the band. We hung out with Brian and Mike the whole time before they had to go set up. They are seriously the coolest guys!!! They put us on the list so we got in free, and we hung out on the tour bus of the Atomic Fireballs. It's been the most memorable night of my summer. I would seriously travel just about anywhere to see these guys again!" - Nancy
Dave is a riot. Although he's not in Ednas anymore, check him out with StepLively!!!:
"i was at the schools out showdown at the vanderbilt and i was checking out the tables in the back. so i see neil walowitz, formerly of who cares. i know him, but i hadn't seen him since their last show, so i got excited and squealed "neil walowitz!" so i hear a guy next to me start making fun of me. so i turn to him and i was like "excuse me, do you have a problem?" so he started joking around and we got to talking. and so he picks up a step lively poster and points to his picture and says "look familiar?" so i was like "cool." then he was like "where is there an edna's poster?" and dragged me over to one and stood next to it and it was him again. so i was like "cool, again" but i still had no idea who he was. so we talked a little more. i don't know if he told me his name, if he did i don't remember. so later i was telling my friend that i met someone from the band. then i saw him and she told me it was dave ringle. i thought that was pretty cool since i've herd of him and all. i saw him up on stage during the show so i waved and he smiled and waved, so then after we all got thrown off the stage after "veronica sawyer" i saw him backstage and i was like "dave! can we come upstairs?!" and he was like "sure!" but the security guard wouldn't let me up. gary also used to sub at my school. ha."

Here's my aol buddies, Sarah and Molly's story:
"my friend molly and i went to this show at gee coffee in O-town KS. i had never EVER heard of ednas goldfish, but hey, it was a show and molly was certainly cool. she had spoken with brian online a lot and was going to meet him and the rest of the band. we watched the first band, hung out a little bit. there was a little couch by the enterance sorta and by some stairs, we walked by there a couple of time and i remember seeing a whole bunch of guys sitting there. little did we know it was most of the band. ha, they were so cute. we walked by the merchandise table and molly saw brian. they said hi and she introduced me. then he introduced us to ian and gary i think, who were working the merch table. molly gave them fortune cookies and ians said something that insinuated he would get some that night. molly had a little crush on the poor dear. another band played, and i mooched 8 bucks off the crowd in order to buy thier cd, they were sooooo cool about it. then ednas got up there. while they were playing i met dave, dave, and vinny. i insisted they all shake my hand inbetween songs. at this point the only one i hadnt met was mike, cuz he was in the back playing drums. molly and i danced the night away, and dave g. let us sing along to the songs we could catch on to quicklly enough. the show was over and i sat down on the edge of the stage while molly went off and did... well... something. i practically fell over onstage, out of breath and hot as hell, considering gee didnt have any air conditioning and it was still september.low and behold.... mike comes and sits down right next to me and says hey. it was so awesome, he was not only cute... but he was talking to me. needless to say i took a liking. i remember i said something like " i feel like im gonna die " and mike said something like " dont die, i just met you " . it was so cute. haha. we all hung out after wards on the pool tables and toook some crazy picture... that never turned out. ARG!!! now this is where it gets good. we had spent about an hour and a half after the show talking and stuff. i mooched everything i could off all the members. i went home with some crazy stuff. i had a friend coming to pick us up. we went outside and they were there. its about 12:30 and they had been waiting forever i guess. we told them sorry and to go home, cuz the boys were going to take us home and there was no way we were going to give up that chance. i went home, molly went home and she directed them to the nearest taco bell before they drove all night to the next show. they whole experience made me fall in love with the band, i love them. they put on a great show. well, thats my story and im sticking to it." - sarah
The guys from Edna's are just so cool:
"One interesting story I have is about the Marlin show on Long Beach Island, NJ, where I stay for vacation. The band came down that night to do the show, and some friends and I were trying to get in, even though we knew it was at a bar and it was a 21 and over show. Mike and Brian did everything they could to get us in, but to no avail. So we hung out and chatted for a bit. Then they went in and played like, an hour-long set. We chatted again when they came out for the break. Then they played another hour-long set. At the end of all this (approx. 2:30am or so) I believe they had played every song they knew. I came back to say hey and watch ‘em pack up the van and talk about how much the gig kinda sucked (even though they sold quite a bit of merch), and Brian said he was so disappointed that I couldn’t get in that he’d put me on the guest list for every show after that. I didn’t really expect that, but I have been on one guest list since then, and who knows what else’ll happen." - "Marlin” Matty B
Awww......what sweethearts:
"ok...well it was last march?!? i think and it was at deja... my friends and i took her moms van and we where quite excited to see the toasters and step lively as well as EDNA'S GOLDFISH.....it took longer then we had expected to get there and SL was already on and the line was out the door.....No chance really of getting in......we where so dissapointed ....until ahem,I being the ever clever genuis (HA) suggested we pull the van around the side and sit on the roof...which we then did...it turned out making the show better because the toasters talked to us through thier entire set...dedicated like everysong ," to the kdis out there on the roof"....."thats what makes it worth it" and so on....He had the whole crowd talking to us and we had strangers coming out side to hang out with us as well....( i was cool for a nite...HAHA) anyway.....we ended up making friends with these kids that we still talk to now....to top it all off Edna's dedicated "eventually anyway" to us and it was one of the most memorable show's i have gone to." - TaRa
This story is so sweet:
"I went to see Edna's Play in Massapequa at Tower Records. It was a cool show. All of Edna's are the nicest people!! After the show was over my friend started playing on the drums and they didn't care, they told her to keep going. Plus there was a HUGE sign that said Edna's Goldfish and she wanted to take it home. They were so cool about everything and tried to help her get it home. Now she gets drum lessons from Mike. Edna's Kicks Ass!! :) " - Erin
Thanks Henry for this story, you're too funny:
"When I first met Brian Diaz, I didn't know he was the lead singer of Ednas, but I shook his hand anyways. Later that night, I thought to myself "hey the lead singer is the guy whose hand I shook." Then I remembered, "boy his hands were pleasantly soft and supple." He seemed like a nice guy and I had a great time at the show and the one after that." - Henry
