Delivery of Chronic Care
An Education Program About the Lives of Children with Chronic Illness

Project D.O.C.C. is a teaching program which educates individuals about chronic illness and it's impact on families and communities. Project D.O.C.C. is committed to children with all types of chronic illness, regardless of diagnosis. The program was designed to incorporate all aspects and issues involved with the health care and education of children with chronic illness.

Project D.O.C.C. is the culmination of parent-professional collaboration. It was developed as a family-centered, community based pediatric training program.

Parents of chronically ill children present the program.
The parents involved in this program are committed to promoting quality care and quality lives for their children. They believe professionals are as vital to the child's well-being within the family and community as they are to their health and education. When appropriate, professionals who are expert in their field are invited to take part in the presentations.

Each parent and professional will complete a training program enabling them to be well-versed in the goals and objectives of Project D.O.C.C.
