This page is dedicated to the completely self-indulgent aim of boosting interest in Michael's career and his current NBC show, The Pretender.
In this series, MTW portrays Jarod, a genius who was separated from his parents and isolated by the Centre, an organization that both develops and exploits his talents.
Under the care and tutelage of a psychiatrist named Sydney, Jarod learns to solve any problem, to master any subject matter, and to assume any identity through the use of "simulations."
As an adult, Jarod is dismayed to find that the results of his simulations have been used for nefarious purposes, and he escapes from the Centre. Free in the world for the first time since early childhood, Jarod embarks on a quest to find his family and to solve the mystery of his own identity. Along the way, he makes restitution for his misused simulations by becoming a one-man, nonviolent vigilante force for justice.
And all the while, he must stay ahead of the Centre "sweepers," who desperately want to recapture him.
If you don't watch The Pretender:
You should tune in NBC Saturday nights to find out what a great show you've been missing. Once you've become a Pretender convert (and you will), don't forget to tell the NBC execs all the many reasons why this show must remain on the air:
