The Alliance for Women in History supports, sponsors and publicizes events during Women's History Month in March. The purpose of Women's History Month, which is recognized nationally by an Act of Congress and throughout the State of New Jersey, is to celebrate the contributions of women in history; to direct public attention to the varied and vast scope of participation of women in our society; and to encourage the further study of women's activities and accomplishments.
