Dear Mr. Freeman,
I am a student at the University of Alaska at Anchorage and taking a course on the history of American Cinema. The class requires me to choose any topic in American Cinema and write short essay on the topic. The genuine quality of your roles during your career along with your effortless ability to serve as a positive role model made you an easy selection as my topic. Thank you for your wonderful performances and humble nature. Thank You!

2/26/2000-- A request from Carole Richard:

I have been trying [desperately] to find a copy of a play that was done at the Annenberg Theater Phila. and shown on the PBS/channel.. I believe the title was "The Gospel at/of Collonas or Collonus". Mr. Freeman, aalong with James Earl Jones' father starred in this play. It was based on the story of Oediphus and also featured The 5 Blind boys. If you can help me obtain a copy of this most dynamic play; I will be eternally grateful. My name is Carole Richard aand my email address is: MILLERPCEO@aol.com. I am thanking you in advance for any assistance that you can give me.

Sincerely, Carole Richard

The title is "The Gospel at Colonus". It is a musical treatment of Sophocles' Greek drama "Oedipus at Colonus". You should be able to find the cast recording CD under the Broadway/Musical section at your local bookstore or at Amazon.com.Unfortunately PBS' Great Performances video (circa 1980's?) seems to have gone out of print...

I would like to, with your help. So please, please, if you could send me, if anyone could send me, that list, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for viewing my e-mail. Thank you.

1/7/2000-- Potpourri522@cs.com writes about "Morgan Freeman's Grace" --

It is wonderful that you all have a sited dedicated to one of the most influential actors on the face of this earth! Mr. Freeman's grace is one to be recognized. Even the slightest facial expressions aid in his portrayal, making the character come alive from the screen and live in the heart of the viewer. I've recently auditioned to play his daughter in an upcoming film. I pray that it is God's will that Mr. Freeman and I will have the chance to work together on this project. From The Electric Company to Deep Impact, an impact is continuously made. Mr. Freeman, if you take the time to read this, May God continue to bless you and your family. Thank you for waltzing into the lives of many with you wonderful charisma, talent, and grace.

P.S. - you have a very nice smile. :) Try to get roles where you smile more! SMILE:)! May God Bless!

Subject: A day we won't forget!

Dear Morgan,

We have talked of you often. It really was our greatest touch with Hollywood! We met you, your wife and your grand daughter, Adina in the summer of 1986???87 on our favorite island off the coast of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Now the last thing you said was that the weather here was so bad, you will never return for sailing in Maine! Well, we hope by now that the memories of the weather have left your mind and that the beauty of the coastline will bring you back again to Richmond Island Maine for lobster and wine with us. It has been a real pleasure following your career and always wish you and your family the best.

Your friends and fans, The Grieves

"Morgan Freeman is a wonderful actor. He has never played a character that I couldn't connect with, believe in. Even in "Hard Rain", he was a criminal, but one with character. I really liked that. I've enjoyed every role he has played. His performance made the entire movie enjoyable. Thank you, Mr. Freeman. I don't think it's possible for an actor to play such good parts without those parts truly being some part of his character. Believing that, I also believe you must be a wonderful person to know. I hope you have siblings. You'd be a wonderful big brother! Trust me... that's a compliment."

Hey, thanks for the comments. I also like your MF site -- wow, how did I miss it? When I scanned the web for MF sites awhile back, I came up with nothing. I'm glad that was just an oversight on my part. MF certainly deserves much more recognition than he usually gets.Anyway, thanks again.-- Dexter

1/24/99-- steve@kyot.com wonders about MF's publicity:

I'm not sure who will really get this message, but I would like to know why Freeman never does any interviews on talk shows promoting movie. Does he plan on writing any books about himself. If so when.

There is a book about MF. Click on the Amazon.com banner on the Links page and search under "Morgan Freeman" to find it.

12/24/98-- From Dr. Reese (vcr@itsa.ucsf.edu) - be sure to visit this dermatologist's collection of Morgan's and other celebrity skin conditions at http://www.skinema.com

Thanks for the links and photos. The reason MF's DPN's are not seen in his earlier films is that he probably had not developed them yet. These benign growths are a sign of middle age...
