Welcome to my little "Karaoke Corner". For those of you who don't know what "Karaoke" is..... Karaoke originated in Japan in the early eighties. It first became a source of enjoyment, for stressed out, overworked Japanese business men as a way for them to unwind from their prospective jobs. They would get off from work, drop by a local bar, sit back, relax, have a glass of "beeru" and croon their favorite songs.

Soon after catching on in Japan, Karaoke found its way to the United States and has become a very popular pasttime here. If you look around..... there are not too many cities and towns out there that "don't have a Karaoke bar!"

The word "Karaoke" in Japanese means "empty orchestra."(Cahh-rahh-oh-keh) In the United States, the meaning would translate into "background music with no lead vocals." In the U.S., we have even adopted a new way of saying the word "Karaoke". ( Kerry-Oh-Key)

Anyway, Karaoke is here to make you the star of the song that you choose to sing. You don't have a hire a band, or be a professional singer to do it, Karaoke is for everyone!

I have listed a couple of songs for "you to try your chops at"!

I will be adding more songs in the near future. For recommended songs, don't be afraid to email me.
