2004 MMSI Show will be held on October 8, 9 & 10 at the Hyatt Regency Oakbrook

The MMSI has decided to hold our meetings at the Des Plaines campus. Meetings will be held at this new location the entire 2004 year. We will be using room A in the business conference center. There will be signs posted announcing the MMSI meeting. Select this link for a map of the area to plan your route.

Meetings start approx. 7:30 p.m.

2004 MMSI Meeting Schedule*

April 2nd - Airborne Theme Night- Special guest speaker is an Airborne Re-enactor in full regalia who will provide a history of the airborne and his unit, the 101st. Bring your Airborne figures. NOTE: This is a tentative topic and has not yet been confirmed.

May 7th - Annual MMSI Fund-raiser Auction. All donations are welcome. The MMSI could use your help in maintaining our high level of providing for the membership.

June 4th - A meeting at the Hobby town shop in downtown Oak Park. Owner Fred Henders, has invited the MMSI to see his shop and all it has to offer. There may be a program depending on our Jan-Feb meetings when we will explain some ideas for a Society project.

July - Field trip to the Joliet Area Historical Society; date to be determined.

September 10th - World War II in the Philippines; Corridor & the Bataan Death March. A very special program presented by Richard A. McMahon, Jr., Colonel, US Army (retired), president of the Bataan Death March Association.

October 1st - The 12" Military Figure, a History; presented by Marc Gaynes & Mike Holverson.

October 8-10th - 30th Annual MMSI "Chicago Show"

November 5th - Naval Theme Meeting; any nation, any period.

November 13th - All Day Modeling Event at Oakton CC.

December - Annual MMSI Holiday Party; date to be determined.
