The Schoolhouse Rock
FAQ
1. Are they available on video?
The episodes have several incarnations on video
and one DVD release for the 30th Anniversary. See the merchandise page
on this site for details on all of the video releases.
2. Where can I get….?
Nearly all of the merchandise is no longer being
produced. Try online auction sites for the best opportunities to purchase
SHR merchandise. See the merchandise page of this site to see what
merchandise has been available in the past.
3. Where can I get the lyrics to…?
See the lyric pages on this site.
4. Can I use the images for …?
Disney owns SHR and rights to all images.
If you are interested in using the images for some commercial purpose, please
contact Disney.
5. Where can I download the episodes or songs?
You can’t. Disney wouldn’t appreciate
people stealing their animation or music. If you want the episodes,
open your wallet and buy them in one of the available formats (see merchandise
page).
6. Who did the voice of …?
See lyric pages for information on who were
the singers and other voice talent used in the series.
7. Wasn’t there an episode with a guy who
sang about food?
No, there wasn’t. What you are thinking
of is Timer in “Time for Timer.” Most people remember the episode
about cheese.
“I hanker for a hunk-a
A slab or slice or chunk-a
I hanker for a hunk-a
CHEESE!”
8. Didn’t the creative team do other animated
shows?
Yes. The creators of SHR also produced
a set of animated shows called “Drawing Power.” There is also another
series called “Metric Marvels” that the creators worked on.
9. What happened to “The Weather Show?”
This episode got caught up in litigation over
the line “greatest show on Earth.” Apparently a certain circus claimed
they had rights to the quote. “The Weather Show” will be available
once again on the DVD.
10. How come only 3 of the 4 Scooter Computer
episodes are on the 30th Anniversary DVD?
From the information I currently have, it would
appear that Disney does not have a copy of "Introduction," the first of the
four "Scooter Computer & Mr. Chips" episodes. Thus it did not make
it onto the DVD. Even the creative team doesn's have copies of "Scooter."
Apparently we have a "lost" episode!
