| Hello, my name is Rufus. I was born on July
13, 1995 and was brought to an animal shelter at 8 hours old with my family
because my mom died or left me. We aren't really sure. My family was very
weak and I was the only one that was strong enough to live. At 7 weeks old
I came to live with a shelter volunteer and her two dogs. I wasn't supposed
to stay ... key word being WASN'T. Look at me ... how could
she resist me? I was so cute. |
 |
As the weeks went on my new foster mom became
more and more attached to me and I knew that I had a chance to stay with
this family. Sue has two dogs. Murphy is 9 years old and Madison is 8. Sue
was really surprised when Madison, the male dog, decided that he would become
my foster mom too. We are the best of buddies. |
| Here we are together when I was a little older.
Sue calls it "Father and
Son". Sue says that we idolize each other. She
says I like Madison better than her. |
 |

|
Madison on the otherhand still loves Sue the
most. He was also a poor soul that ended up at her house when he was about
8 weeks old. Sick with ringworm and weak from flea anemia, he was the only
one of his litter to live. They even had blood transfusions but he was the
strongest and had that will to live. |
| I have been reminded that I am being unfair
to Murphy by not having a picture of her on my page. My first comment to
that was "Well, it IS MY page, isn't it? But I gave in and Mom finally
scanned a picture - here is "baby" Murphy the first day she came home. Sue
says it isn't very easy taking a picture of a little black puppy. She also
says she had already bought the dog toy (a hotdog) before she had the pup.
They drove to Cleveland the following day to meet the "grandparents". |
 |
And now we have added another
to our little group. Her name is Lucy. I was in love with her from the moment
I saw her but she wasn't really pleased to meet me - CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT?
Here is what I look like now. I'm such a handsome devil, if I do say so myself
- kind of the Rhett Butler of Kittydom
She visited for a few days and then she left.
Sue tried to explain that she was "just visiting" and belonged to our grandma.
I went to visit her a couple of times but she didn't like me any better at
her house. I came home and cried and cried. Here is a picture of her. Isn't
she pretty?
She came to visit us a few more times. We were
told our grandmother wasn't feeling well. Each time Lucy stayed a little
longer and we got along a little better. Then in January she came and has
been here ever since. Then Sue started moving in all Lucy's belongings and
we were told this was Lucy's new home. Our grandmother had to go away to
be with our grandfather in Heaven.
We are very sad about that. I liked to play with them when they came over.
I try really hard to make Sue feel better as it makes her very sad too.
If you will click
HERE you can see some of the things
that I like to do to

Here is our award for being adopted shelter

We also have another website that I think you
will enjoy - you can get there by clicking the banner below:
It really belongs to Sue.
And please write to my
SECRETARY - she's not too bright
but she's only a human and she's tries really hard to make sure I get them.
I don't have the heart to fire her.

This award is from our very own Mom on our
other web site.
She would be happy to give out awards to more
pages if you would check her site and sign her guestbook.
She thinks all animals sites are wonderful and
deserve awards. |
And before you leave - I belong to some very
impressive web rings that are shown below that you should check out too.
Meet all the other special kitties out there on the web.
