On May 16th Mary, Dennis & Molly joyfully welcomed home Claire Yin born 9/26/97 Jiujiang City, Jiangxi

Molly's first words to Claire were "I love you so much, you're my best friend."

However, she's regressed a bit. The first few days, Molly went bottle for bottle with Baby Claire. Now, Molly's cut back to one bottle at bedtime.

Claire's updated photo (left) was taken on March 6 when she was 5 months old. The referral photo (right) was taken when she was 2 months old. We received her referral on 3/12/98, 367 days after our dossier went to China. We travelled to Jiujiang City on May 10 (Mother's Day) and were united with our beautiful baby daughter. This was a remarkable coincidence as we had travelled to China two years earlier and held Molly in our arms for the very first time on Mother's Day 1996!

We visited Ireland in Sept. 97 to introduce Molly to all the relatives and got to do a little sightseeing.

AOL FRIENDSHIP QUILT - 12 AOL families each made a quilt block in honor of their daughters. MaryLynn (Hoddy3180) put the quilt together and presented it to the staff of the US Consulate in Guangzhou in July 1997 when she adopted Emily.
