Welcome

I welcome you as a patient and appreciate the opportunity to provide you with dental care. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your personal dental needs.

Mission Statement

I am dedicated to providing state of the art dental care in a relaxing and supportive environment. I strive to make each visit as comfortable as possible utilizing the most modern equipment available.

My philosophy is that the best dental treatment is preventive dental treatment. Whenever possible, preventive dental care will be instituted to prevent problems from even starting.

I am committed to being on the forefront of my profession through ongoing continuing education and consultation with my associates and colleagues.

I respect the right of my patients to obtain a second opinion and welcome such requests.

My practice is founded on the premise that helping each of my patients to feel better about dental care is the greatest reward I can seek.

Your First Appointment

Your first visit begins with a complete medical and dental history. This will be followed by a complete examination of your mouth. You may not be aware that there are over 200 diseases which can occur in the mouth and jaws. Some of these, such as cancer, can be life-threatening. I will, therefore, be looking at much more than your teeth. The examination will include a screening for oral cancer, a periodontal screening, and an examination of the bite and the temporomandibular joints. Various x-rays will be taken as necessary. In some cases, photos and models of your teeth will also be required. I will explain procedures to you so there will be no surprises. Your teeth will generally be cleaned at the second appointment so that more time may be devoted to a complete examination and diagnosis at your first appointment.

This will also allow more time for discussion and answering any questions you may have. Fees for the first appointment will vary with the services performed.

Consultation

In cases beyond minor routine care, a consultation will be arranged prior to treatment to discuss aspects of your particular treatment. At this time, I will give you an estimate of the length of time necessary to complete the treatment, the fee involved, and the details of how these services will be provided. This discussion will involve the dentist, patient, and spouse or parent as appropriate.

Mutual understanding between dentist and patient is essential to the best personal health care. Please feel free to discuss your treatment program and its costs. Questions are always welcome.

Peace of Mind

I realize that a dental appointment is often a time of anxiety. A number of different techniques are available including IV conscious sedation, nitrous oxide sedation, premedication with sedatives, topical anesthetic and the Syrijet-a means of administering local anesthetic without a needle.

Please call us so that we may discuss other areas
of dental care such as:

IV conscious sedation
Temporomandibular disorders and facial pain
Infection control
X-rays
Preventive dentistry
Periodontics
Cosmetic dentistry
Orthodontics
Children's dental care

Office Hours

Office hours are by appointment only. Emergencies are accepted when possible, but a phone call prior to your visit will minimize disruption to other scheduled patients and office procedures. A call will surely minimize any delay for you as well.

Location

We are located in the Park Plaza at 128 North Craig St. between Fifth Avenue and Bayard Street. Indoor valet parking is available. A flat rate is charged by the Park Plaza and is payable to the garage attendant.
