PLOT SYNOPSIS "As was typical of most campus musical comedies, the students on view in So This Is College didn't so much as open a book. . .They were far more concerned with the friendship between two football-playing buddies and the romance each is having with a scheming college girl whose duplicity is revealed at the big USC-Stanford match." NOTES "Elliott Nugent, Robert Montgomerry and Sally Starr were recruited from Broadway by producer-director Sam Wood to breathe freshness into the workaday plot, but despite the inclusion of some existing stock footage of an actual football match between the two universities (filmed in 1928) and the addition of four songs, the movie - like Miss Starr - came and went."
