Wolverine Golfers

In 1976, the very first tournament named the Wolverine Deaf Lady Golf Association was held in Gaylord, Michigan with three lady golfers -- H.DiFalco, C.Harvey, and N.Vance. At this tournament, H.DiFalco won the low gross and C.Harvey was a runner up.

The three ladies decided to keep on playing golf at the tournament every year. The fund was started with two dollars.

Now, the membership grows bigger and stronger in the state of Michigan with 20 members present.

At the first election meeting, these officers were elected: H.DiFalco as President and G.Bachman as a Secretary-Treasurer. Today, we have four officers: President, Secretary, Treasurer and Law Chairperson.

In 1997, the name of this association was changed to Wolverine Deaf Lady Golfers.
