Welcome to
My passion for the old english mastiff and the bullmastiff started late
one night in 1975, I was eighteen years old and flying the red eye
special from Fairbanks, Alaska to Dallas, Texas. I had purchased a dog
encyclopedia as reading material for the long night flight. The book
was filled from cover to cover with historical facts, myths and legends
on every breed of dog imaginable but I earmarked the pages on two breeds
only, the old english mastiff and the bullmastiff. I spent the next
fourteen years reading everything I could get my hands on and daydreaming
about someday owning an old english mastiff or bullmastiff.
Well, over twenty years later I now live in Mt. Airy, Maryland and am
the proud owner of many beautiful old english mastiffs and bullmastiffs.
Breeding and showing old english mastiffs has brought so many blessings
into my life. The friends that this passion has brought my way have
shared tears of joy and sorrow with me, and have remained friends
steadfast through good times and bad.
As you wander through the pages of this website I will introduce you
to my pets, some are show dogs, some are not, some I only have memories
left to share with you. I will introduce you to my friends, old & new,
dear & true, so turn the page and share a few of my memories as you gaze
into Misty Meadow Mastiffs past, present, & future. As I head into the
millennium pursuing my lifelong passion of loving, breeding, and
showing the greatest breed on this earth... the Old English Mastiff...
