Players have asked a lot of questions about cash and it's uses in the game. Hopefully this page will explain all of your options for using your cash in the game.
What is Cash and what is it worth?
Cash is simply a measure of how much available money your character has available for them to spend. The most basic value of cash is to purchase additional training.
One point of Cash can purchase one additional Training Point.
Buying additional training
This is simple, anytime you send in Training Points, you may spend your available Cash for bonus points. Simply tell me in your training email how much Cash you wish to spend, and where you want the additional Training Points to be applied.
Factions may spend their Cash on members training. The faction leader simply sends me an email listing who gets the points and how many. That player then has those points added to their next training point total.
What else can be done with Cash?
You can Trade Cash for artifacts, training, or information with other players or factions.
You can Wager Cash with other players or factions on fight results.
You can Give Cash as a gift to other players or factions.
You can use Cash as a negotiating tool in faction contracts.
Basically, Cash in the game, just like in the real world is only worth whatever someone else is willing to give you for it. But it can always be used for training.
Trading or Giving Cash
If you are negotiating a deal with another player or faction. Work it out between yourselves, only once the deal is complete do you email me that you are paying that character or faction the agreed upon sum of Cash.
Don't try to welch on a deal. If the other player can prove to me that you have, I will take the cash from you and give it to them anyway.
For gifts, players or faction leaders simply email me that you are giving a character a certain amount of Cash. I will then add it to their total and tell them who gave them the gift, unless you prefer to remain anonymous.
Players can refuse gifts be responding back to me that they wish to do so.
Wagering
This gets a little tricky. If you want to place a bet with another player or faction a specific process must be followed.
1)You cannot bet more cash than you have. If you try to, the bet will be cancelled.
2)You can only bet on the upcoming week's fights, you cannot bet on future fights beyond that.
3)You must email (or otherwise communicate) your intention to place a bet with the other player.
4)You must email the other player how much Cash you will bet, and how much Cash you expect them to put up in return.
Example: I bet 2 of my Cash against 2 of your Cash that my fighter will win.
Typically, bets will be for even money, but at times you might feel compelled to bet 2 for 1, 3 for 2, etc.
4)The player who RECIEVES the offer of the wager then decides if they want to take it. If not, then the players or faction leaders can keep talking trying to set up a wager, or give up on making it entirely.
If the player decides to accept the wager they must FORWARD me the mail with the offer, along with a note attached telling me they accept the wager. There is absolutely no need to forward regected wagers.
5)After the fights are posted, I will send out your new cash totals (be it more or less) along with your training.
Contract Negotiations
Sometimes a faction may offer a character a Cash bonus for signing with them, or demand a membership fee. This is handled just like a purchase or gift.
There is one rule to this, the cost must be a lump sum handed over at signing the contract. I dont want the be weighed down with weekly salaries or fight bonuses to keep track of. You can figure out your own system for doing things like this within the system I have already set up
Apart from these, I'm sure you will come up with many ideas of your own for which Cash can be used. Feel free to try these out and bounce new ideas off of me.
