This is a photo of John Yetter on board a ship about 1910. Family members say John Yetter made a return trip to Germany in 1910. I believe this photo was taken at that time. John Yetter was born in Vollmersweiler, Rheinpfalz, Germany on 18 December, 1835. He immigrated to America in 1854, settling in IL. First he rented land in Putnam County, IL, where he married Magdalena Schoenholz in 1857. By 1859, John Yetter bought land in Lee County, IL, settling in the Steward area.
