Miller Redfield
(Played by Christopher Rich) :
Bio: The idiot newsman who replaced Jim temporaily during his work in Libya during the second season. After the other FYI'ers humiliated him on the air, they thought it would be the end. He later came back in the third season when the other reporters were on strike and he didn't have enough integrity to join (They pulled him off though because he couldn't ask any hard questions).
His next appearance was in the fourth season when Corky was depressed her husband had to leave unexpectantly to write his screenplay and he decided to join her (By now, he was doing whether with a hand puppet). After Corky decided it was wrong to cheat on her husband, he vowed he would return. Finally, in the 7th season, when she was long divorced and was trying to start a relationship with Miles, he went out with her before Miles got a chance. He was starring in a new news show, "The Next Wave" which was also produced by Miles, making Miles to busy for her so she would ultimately date Miller again.
After a few monthes, he finally came right out and said, "By the way, I think we should have sex." (Great pick-up line there) and Corky began to start realizing they had little in common. "The Next Wave" was canceled, and he tried to flirt with Corky again until she he found out she was already married to Miles. He currently co-stars in the show, "Front and Center" with Murphy (And was produced by Miles) and also won a Humboldt (On a story that Frank had written) which he dropped and broke. He has also gotten report tip from Jim. He was put on the show after Jim quit and was taken off after Jim came back.
Somewhere around the beginning of season 9 of Murphy Brown his TVQ ratings went way down. Murphy, eager to get rid of both him and her former agent (Played by Chris Elliot) off her back, made up an underdog theory saying everyone roots for the underdog. Miller was then fired after making unreasonable salary demands and nearly demolishing Stan's office, but for some reason ABC, NBC and CNN bought the underdog theory (Don't ask why) and he became a hot commodity. He has since returned to the show with triple the pay.
