This page was last updated on 15 April 1999. Check in often to see what I've added.

This page has listings from every branch of the military so I decided to play a medley of their theme songs for you this time.

CoolMy Favorite Civilian Places are:

I love Rosie's program. I too am a television and movie junkie. Checkout her website: Welcome to Rosie O'Donnell Online! I tape Oprah's program and often check out: Oprah Online

I was really upset when ABC decided to drop "Ellen" from their line-up, while they continue to show other programs with sex, drugs, foul language, and violence. I loved to watch Ellen Degeneres and her friends--she made me laugh out loud all the time. I'm glad that Lifetime TV will be airing her programs--even though they are reruns. Her web site has been dropped so if anyone knows of a new page for her please let me know.

Find information about your favorite celebrity at: Welcome to Mr. Showbiz

Another program that has been cancelled was one I would stop for two hours every day to watch. They shared a lot of information on their program and their website: Home and Family - Home. I'm glad to see that Cristina now has her own website--check it out at Welcome to Cristina Ferrare's Web Site! By the way, I don't even turn on the Fax Family Channel now. There is nothing on it worth watching in my opinion. Most of the programs are old shows that have been remade and mostly for children.

I remember Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, and others from my youth. My favorite current C&W singer is Reba. Take a moment to look at her new site: Reba Review

EyeMy Favorite Military and Veteran's Links are:

Of course, how could I not let you know where you can find out more about my books. Take a moment to look at Amazon Book's pages with comments, an interview, and reviews about both of my books:
Potpourri Of War : Labors of Love Remembered
Memories of Maggie : Martha Raye : A Legend Spanning Three Wars

I was surprised when I was invited to do a booksigning at The Pentagon. I had never been there before. I was even more surprised when I read their Best Sellers Listing and found out my book hit #4 in their Military Insider section on Military Affairs. For your information I will be there on 10 November 98 doing another book signing. Now you can see the company I am keeping: THE PENTAGON BOOK STORE - HOME PAGE

The dedication of the WIMSA Memorial which honors all women who served since the beginning of time was on 18 October 1997 (that was my birthday.) Check out their site: Women In Military Service For America Memorial

Captain Barbara Wilson, USAF (Retired) is better known as Captain Critical. She has a great page and offers many links to other areas of concern and interest to women Veterans. Check it out: Captain Barb

As of 7 May 1997 there were 58,209 names engraved on The Vietnam Memorial aka The Wall. Eight of those names are American female nurses who died in-country. Here is an opportunity to learn about the other American women who died in Vietnam serving their country as civilians. Take a moment and look at this site: Women Who Died in the Vietnam War

Here is an extraordinary site of interest to women Veterans. Check it out at: Military Woman Home Page

Three more great sites for female Veterans are: Women Veterans, Women Veterans Website, and In-Country Women

Yet more good sources are: H-MINERVA HOME PAGE and Minerva Center Home Page

I loved Colleen McMurphy and her friends on the television hit show China Beach. Here's your chance to learn more about Dana Delany and the cast of that great show: The China Beach Tribute Page and The Official Dana Delany Home Page

Veterans Center and MCO Headquarters If you don't already have MCO, you might want to consider getting it. It has many wonderful areas useful to both Active Duty personnel and Retirees.

This website is a wealth of information for anyone who served in-country or elsewhere: VIETNAM VETERANS HOME PAGE. One of the sub-sections which has helped me quite a bit is: Veterans Organizations and Support Groups

Visit this site often as it is updated frequently:
The Moving Wall Schedules

There are a few places to look for information about POW/MIA's. Here's one of them: POW/MIA 19

I came across this next page and I'm so glad I did. It gives some really good information. Please visit: DS VetCenter Index

The Public Broadcasting System has done a program about Veterans. Look at: Re: Vietnam -- Stories Since the War

Maggie cared for all troops regardless of their branch; but the Special Forces adopted her as their own. See their site: SF

Here are two great sites to visit. Both share information about the US Army Transportation units: Trans Assoc Home Page (this group made me an honorary member) and Army Transportation Association Vietnam: Gun Trucks, Convoys, Lighters, Tugboat

Veterans Helping Veterans is the motto for: Vietnow

Are you are looking for artifacts and information about the country, our Veterans, the war, etc? If so take a few minutes to look at: Viet Nam War Museum

We also should remember the: KOREAN WAR PROJECT

I loved watching Hawkeye and his friends every week. Now you can relive some of those great times by going to visit them at: J.W.'S M*A*S*H 4077th Page

These groups participated in World War II: Sixth Armored Division (Super Sixth) Unofficial Home Page and The 212th Armored Field Artillery (6th Armore...

This one speaks for itself: Veteran/Military Web Sites

Meanwhile--please check out Military Network - Army,Navy,Marines,Air Forc.... This is a super site and that's not just because I am now writing a column for it. Be sure to check out all of its features including "The Sarge" button on the main menu--that's me.

Just because I served in the Army doesn't mean I don't like the other branches. I have many friends who have been in each. Here is an Air Force First Sergeant's page to look at: Unofficial First Sergeant Homepage

Get another look at the military at: Dave's Realm
