Austin Radio Control Association
Big Bird Spring Fly-In
Austin, Texas
Reported and Photographed by Paul Johnston
On April 18 & 19, 1998 at Lester Field, the Austin Radio Control Association
held another successful Big Bird Spring Fly-In. Approximately 70 pilots were
registered to participate. Lots of spectators viewed the first-class big
bird radio control planes on display and appreciated all the work that went
into building these magnificent birds. On Saturday, rains and high winds
were expected, but luck was with the pilots and cool, sunny weather prevailed.
Many thanks goes out to all the volunteers who made this successful event
possible. Come on back next year, and let's fly and renew our friendships.
This report has 30 photographs. All photographs were taken with a Sony Mavica Digital Camera MVC- FD7.
