The Hotel Galvez

Towering above Seawall Boulevard, the Hotel Galvez was built  in 1911 as a monument to the success of Galveston and her recovery after the 1900 Storm.  I.H Kempner, John Sealy, Jr. headed the project to build the Hotel Galvez.  The Hotel survived the 1915 Storm with little damage.
