Another favorite fella of mine - Ty England!! I became a Ty fan through Garth of course. I've been lucky enough to have seen Ty five times since he's been out on his own and I ain't done yet!!

Ty has decided to record using the name "Tyler England"...here's why:
It's a slight change, but a significant one. With his new album, Ty England has decided to go by the name Tyler England. Why? "There's not anything I've done before to compare this album to. It's not Ty England. This is a more grown up record, with a more mature sound and subject matter. It's a totally different me and yet it's the me I started out trying to be when I first began performing."

Garth Brooks has this is say about Ty's new CD: " What he made is a blue-collar record. Anyone that works for a living is going to like exchanging their money for this record that he's made. They¹re also going to be able to relate to it because that's where he lives and where he came from, and that was nice as a producer to find an artist that believed in these things."
Ty's thanks to Garth in the CD liner notes: "Garth, I just dont know where to start with you. I continue to feel your friendship through both distance and time. Thanks for this chance to live the dream we shared long ago. Thanks for hearing my heart and helping me find myself in the music. Thanks for your patience. Thanks for your belief in me. You have been my wall of confidence. No matter what happens from here, I can at least play this album with pride and say, "This is what I sound like."
Late Jan 2000....Tyler England was back in the studio with producer Garth Brooks this week, and they’re this close to finishing Tyler’s album. After all that work, it was definitely time to play. Luckily Tyler made it home to Oklahoma just before a whole lotta snow hit the ground. Nine inches of the white stuff fell on Oklahoma City, so the whole England clan is running around, making snowmen and snow angels and generally having fun.
May 9, 2000....Ty called into Country Live Tonight and said that he'd just turned in the new CD to Capitol, and they have already chosen 4 singles off the album!! They also played Ty & Steve Wariner's duet "Should've Asked Her Faster"...it sounded great of course!!! Coming soon!!!
