Here's an article about Mya that I wrote a while ago......

By now, most of you have probably heard the soft, enchanting voice behind songs like "Ghetto Superstar" and
"It's All About Me." The young woman behing this now famous voice is singer/dancer/songwriter/choreographer
Mya Harrison.

Mya (as she is known publicly) is an extremely talented 18-year-old from Washington, DC. Raised in suburban Maryland, Mya started showing signs of talent when she began dancing at the age of two. As
Mya grew older, she joined the Dance Theater of Harlem, took violin and drum lessons, and had a solo spot
durinng a Kennedy Center dance performance.

Only recently did Mya get a record contract with University Music Entertainment/Interscope Records, which
released her self-titled debut album. On the album's thirteen tracks (four of which Mya co-wrote), she sings
about relationships, being young, throwing parties, and taking control. Mya worked on the album with many top recording artists including Dru Hill, Babyface, Diane Warren, and Missy Elliot. To add to the success of her
top-selling album, Mya choreographed the rhythmic dances in the video for her first single, "It's All About Me."
Plus, she designed the stylish red outfit that she wore in the video.

So, if you're not into Mya, you're really missing out on a whole lot. Judging by her many talents
and successes so far, I know that this "Ghetto Superstar" will be shining for a long time.
