EARLY MATCHBOOK COVERS

Advanced collectors treasure older covers which are more difficult to find. the "Diamond Quality" (DQ's) manufactuer's footer indicates the cover was made from the early 1920's until the early 1930's. As a farily new collector, I only have a couple hundred DQ's, but there are "old-timers" with many albums full.

The older DQ's were not as often collected as covers from the mid-1930's to date.

Printing and graphic illustrations were not as complex and detailed as matchbooks that would come later, but some DQ's exhibited splashes of color that rival matchcovers from any era.

This is the rarest of my matchcovers. A tulip brand. Very difficult to find!
