Hello and welcome to my
"other home". I call AOL that because
sometimes I probably spend more time on here than I should.
I'm always searching for something new and this certainly is the place
to do that. I am a single Southern Girl
and I've been like most of us have at one time or another -- that's
making bad
choices while climbing the ladder of life. I think that's part of
everyone's growth.

Each bad experience we encounter has a lesson to be learned
from it. We have to have acquired enough wisdom to figure out
what that lesson is sometimes. Those experiences has made me the person
that I am today and my friends will agree that I am a pretty special
person.
I refuse to let Satan steal my today or my tomorrow by dwelling on
yesterday. I'm too Blessed to be Stressed. If ever you feel down and
out, just remember that next week, next month, next year and certainly
in a hundred years it won't even matter. Think about it.

I don't spend all of my time here. If you should ever run across me in this
big wide world it may be in a book store just browsing, or I may be sharing some time with a friend
who needs an emotional lift.
In the wintertime when I kick back I just chill by a nice cozy fire reading a good book or listening
to some slow, mellow jams reflecting on things I've done and things I've yet to do.
One of my greatest pleasures is singing on the choir at my church. I enjoy good company--that is someone
who is grateful for waking up every morning to a brand new day, and not taking forgranted the fact that you have
clean water to drink, air to breath or people who love you despite the fact that you're not perfect, but
love you anyway--just things that we never think about but take forgranted so often.

The links below are more of my creations. Hope you take the time to browse. I'm still learning how to design these pages, so kick your shoes off, relax and enjoy the links. And by all means,
come back often to see what else is new. If you have enjoyed this site, please take

P.S I'm still a

Got An Interesting Story Of Romance On the Net?

Have you thought you met the love of your life on the internet and it turned out to be
the affair from hell. Have you met someone and you really hit itoff with on and off line?
Do you have any advice for anyone who is contemplating taking an on-line romance
off-line? I'd really like to hear about your experiences-- The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.
I'm collecting real life stories to share your experiences with others to help them make
the right decisions about Internet Romances. I promise I won't use real names.

Let me share a story of a young lady I know:
This story is sad, at least for one of them and funny to many others
who hears it now. But I guarantee you there's a lesson in it.
I know when I first heard about it, I lost it and laughed
until I cried. I love a good laugh at least once a day. Anyway, back to the
story--let's call her Samantha. Samantha met a man in a chatroom one night just
like so many of us who venture into chatrooms. She and the man had daily
conversations. After two or three days of chatting
you think you really know the person you've been staying up half the night losing
sleep over because you enjoy their "company" so much. Next comes the huge
telephone bills and after a while you should own stock in the telephone company. Well, they
decided it was finally time to meet.

This young man arranged to fly to meet Samantha on
her turf. She went to pick the guy up and boy was she disappointed.
She said when she first saw him and realized that this man standing
in front of her was the man that she was "In Like" with on the
internet, her heart went to
her feet because he was so ugly (her words) that she couldn't stand the
thought of entertaining him for the weekend.
She greeted him, and told him she was going to get the
car to meet him outside after he picked up his luggage. She never went back
to get the guy. She just left him at the airport.
![[image]](vineflowers.gif)
The lesson here is, before you go meeting someone that you don't even
know, get a picture. Of course, the picture may not be of them. It is so
easy to copy a picture of someone else and pass it off as yours when
you're sending someone a picture via E-mail. The best part about that
is that when the moment of truth comes and it isn't the person
in the picture,
God just may forgive you for leaving them at the airport.
One other thing that it may be wise to remember is the words in one of Pattie
Labelle's songs "People will say whatever it takes to get close to you".
I keep asking for your stories. One of these days, I just might share
one or two of my own. Or maybe I will just give you some AOL survival
tips. Stay tuned, I promise I will do this in 2000.

Click below to E-mail me and tell all about your story.
I wish that all love affairs could be forever and ever Amen romances because I am one of the last true romantics.
But we know in reality we have to cherish
the Good memories and become wiser from the Bad and the Ugly.
Hey, don't be stingy
with the E-mail. Write me and tell me what you think about my page. I don't
even mind if you drop me a line just to say hello.
Please let me know if you find any broken links. I have embarked on yet
another phase in my life -- I am going back to school AGAIN. Therefore, I do not
have the time to devote to this wonderful hobby as I would like.
