Mammoth Spring Arkansas
- Source of the Spring River
Spring Dam Water from Mammoth Spring adds at least 9 million gallons of water per hour to the lake. The temperature of that water is always 58 degrees Fahrenheit. The water is high in nitrogen, and grass pike and sculpin (fish) thrive there. The town of Mammoth Spring, on Hwy 63, is on the border of Arkansas and Missouri, north of Batesville in central Arkansas.
