The Friesian Horse is an ancient breed from the northern province of Holland called Friesland. Descending from the large statured Equus Robustus. During the middle ages Andalusian blood from Spain was introduced resulting in a lighter body frame. Since that time the breed has been kept pure. The armored knights found him desirable having the strength to carry great weight and still move precisely in battle.
