KNOX COLLEGE CELEBRATES 50 YEARS

KNOX COLLEGE CELEBRATED ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY

"Old" and young Knox students ventured to Knox College, Spaldings, Jamaica, West Indies to celebrate their alma maters 50th year. Ocho Rios was the base for the activities surrounding the celebrations.

They visited Knox College in Spaldings/Clarendon, Manchester; had "Sports Day" at Kaiser Play Field; held a very successful "congress" at which two new organizations for past
students activities were formed; and closed the celebrations with a grande reunion banquet at the Jamaica Grande/Renaissance hotel in Ocho Rios.

A 6-page insert about Knox was published in The Jamaica Weekly Gleaner, North American edition, on August 21, 1997.

Since we did not receive the necessary advertisement support for an expected 16-page insert - there is additional material gleaned in interviews, etc. that could not be published. KAPS-NY Chapter plans to publish a Special Journal which will include the unabridged version of this insert including those interviews.
