Pipewriter Upgrade Policy
Pipewriter is a constantly evolving piece of computer software which is being frequently updated with new features. Many of these features come from suggestions made by registered users, and when an idea comes in which is good we try to get it included as quickly as possible without compromising the quality of the package.
Registered users of the software may obtain copies of the latest release (by email) at no cost by simply sending an email stating their current version, and their serial number to the usual Pipewriter email address. We'll try to despatch an updated version within 1 week of receiving your mail.
Below is a list of the features which have been added most recently:
- Mini printout
- A4 too big to carry around? Why not print out your music in A5 or A6 (high resolution printer required for A6)
- Harmonies
- define the music for both the lead, and the second part harmony, and by including a single command between them, Pipewriter will play both parts simultaneously.... this must be heard!!
- Click and jump
- when a note is clicked on the preview screen, the PIP edit window now jumps straight to the piece of PIP code which defines that item. No more searching through PIP code for the correct part!!
- Start, stop and loop
- you can now start and stop playback at any point in the current tune, and can also ask Pipewriter to loop through a certain part of a tune for repetitive learning.
- Edit window sizing
- expand and collapse you PIP edit window at the click of a button.
- Cut, copy and paste
- buttons included at the base of the edit window to handle these popular functions
- Metronome
- improve your timing by switching the metronome on which will mark time by giving a click on each beat , and sliding from left to right on the graphic display.
