This now classic image shows Marilyn preparing for the premiere of Tennessee's Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Morosco Theatre in New York City in March of 1955. On Marilyn's thirty fourth birthday, Rupert Allen hosted a dinner party in her honor at his home in Seabright Place. Marilyn spent most of the evening with Tennessee and his mother Edwina, discussing American drama.
