DeLuxe CD Review:
Marilyn liked her jazz hot in this great period comedy starring Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis. The CD sound track is a great introduction to popular jazz and ragtime. Marilyn shows her great musical talent as she tackles these challenging jazz vocals. They range from the galloping "Runnin Wild", to the breathy "I Wanna Be Loved By You". Especially wonderful is her acheing rendition of "I'm Through With Love". You really believe that at that moment she's through with love, yet she could change her mind tomorrow. Granted, she may not have a four octave range, but she does make each song her own, with her own Marilyn signature.
The DeLuxe CD contains the fantastic original theatrical trailer. The soundtrack also contains audio clips from some of the movies classic moments between songs. The quality of the instrumentals is very good, with excellent jazz piano, and horn riffs. If your a fan of Marilyn's movies, then you'll become a fan of her music after listening to this. It makes great background music for a creative setting, or novelty music for that party you're throwing.
