If you like tv from its beginnings all the way to the early 90s,
this ring is for you. The Ring of Vintage TV was started on June 26, 1997 by Kelly Brinton. In the summer of 2001, she apparently offered it up for someone else to take over, so I adopted it. My name is Laurel . If your ring html points to the old homepage at members.aol.com/tympanigirl/webring, this must be changed to this new location (http://members.aol.com/PyrateScum/vintagetv.html). If you are new to the ring, please:
Have a webpage about a TV Show, TV Station, or TV Actor/Actress that dates back to the beginnings of television all the way up to the early 1990's. If your site is about a tv show that takes place in this time period, but was made in the late 90's and on, it is also eligible ("Freaks and Geeks," "That 70's Show," and "That 80's Show" are all good examples).
Click the "Join This Ring" button. If you are not already a WebRing member, you will have to get a WebRing ID--it's free, so go ahead! If you are a WebRing member already, enter your ID and then fill out the application to join the ring.
Put the Navigation Bar or the following WebRing fragment on your main page, or on a separate WebRings page on your site. Please make sure your WebRing page is easy to find from the main page. If you want to use the Navbar, you have to log on under your WebRing ID (Log On), go to My Rings, view the list of webrings you have joined, click on the title of your website (like it says, click to edit), then click on Get Navigation Bar. Viola! There's your html for the Navbar. OR, you can log on, go to View Web Sites, and click Get SSNB Code next to the URL for the site you just submitted to the ring. Put that on your site and you're good to go. If you would rather use the old type of html fragment, use the html below.

You will need to change YOUR_EMAIL_ADDRESS to (surprise!) your email address. Change all references to YOUR_SITE_ID to the Site ID # you were given when you joined the ring. Finally, save the ring image (tvring.gif) to your computer and upload it to your own server, since many servers no longer allow direct linking. If you don't do this, the picture in the fragment will not appear.
tvring2.gif (made for this ring by the webmaster of thebradybunch.net)
Just save the one you like to your hard drive instead and upload it to your server. Then change all references in the html code from tvring.gif to the correct name of the picture you chose. :)
The Navigation Bar looks like this:
If you use the Navbar, I suggest you use the javascript version, just incase I ever make any changes to the appearance of it.
If at any time you need to change your information in the ring, go to WebRing Main Page, log on under your WebRing ID, view the rings you have joined under My Rings, and click the title of your website to edit your information.
