Ships/Passengers/Departees
- General
Preface:
I deliberated over the kind
of data that I should present in this website. As the
website for the village of Fischer, am I restricted to only
post the ship lists, and the names of the passengers for the village
of Fischer in this site? Or, might I post all of the data
that I have at my disposal at the present, regardless of village,
without upsetting the "purist". After much consideration,
I have decided that, altho this site is based on Fischer history
and village coordination, the families also consist of members
from various other villages, as many of the villagers moved around.
Our objective is to SHARE data. Since all of our ancestries
intertwine, I decided not to cull out only certain persons from
the data. To me, who came over- from what village - and on
what ship- is important to our history. However, I
do not believe it relevant how it is presented, - as long as it
is presented! Roger Toepfer
