Conference Schedule & Highlights

Saturday April 29, 2000

9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For Teachers, Advanced Practitioners & Professionals

We begin our day with Opening Ceremonies, a Keynote Address, Panel Discussions and Presentations for the Reiki Professional. At 12:00 we will adjourn to a local buffet restaraunt for a Reiki luncheon (self-pay) where we can meet, greet and get to know each other better.

We reconvene at 1:30 for an afternoon of technique demonstrations, hands-on presentations and other informative seminars. We will hold a closing meditation in this room at 5:30. Your hosts, the Reiki Empowerment Group, will be offering an optional informal Reiki discussion and healing circle from 7 to 8 pm, after you’ve had a chance to catch dinner on your own. This will be a great time to meet and just chat with other conference goers. Reiki tables will be available for those wanting to exchange Reiki.

For All Reiki Seekers

We begin our day with Opening Ceremonies, a second Keynote Address, and presentations for the Reiki Practitioner At 11:30 a.m. we will adjourn for lunch, on your own.
We reconvene at 12:30 for an afternoon of concurrent sessions. These are demonstrations and interactive experiences brought to you by Reiki professionals. In your registration material, you will be given a listing of the seminars for you to choose from. Seminars will be one to two hours long.
At 4:30, we reconvene for our panel discussion and closing ceremonies, including a group meditation. We will complete our weekend together at 5 p.m.
Your presenters will be available for autograph signing, and providing Reiki or related merchandise and products during the day Sunday.

Code of Conduct

All Conference Presenters, Vendors and Staff have agreed to a Professional Conduct clause that ensures a non-judgmental and tolerant environment. Conference Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a similar manner. All guests and staff are expected to refrain from making personal or negative comments to others. All Reiki paths are correct for those that walk them. We ask that everyone attending bear that in mind, and enter our Conference in the spirit of Harmony and Healing. To encourage that, we are asking that no attunements be performed on anyone associated with the Conference from the hours of 5 PM Friday April 28 to 6 PM Sunday April 30 . We further ask that the full names and likeness of the Usui Reiki Symbols not be used in presentations or public displays on Sunday. We feel this honors all walks, all lineages. We appreciate your co-operation, and reserve the right to deny admission to the Conference, without refund. to anyone violating this code.

Lodging and Area Information

The Hotel has provided a Conference Rate of $69 per night, double or single occupancy. If we can, we will attempt to connect those of you traveling alone, but wishing to share a room. Within walking distance of the conference facility are two hotels with lower rates: The Stratford Inn, with rates near $40 per night and Motel Six with rates near $30 per night. There are other hotels nearby. There is a Denny’s right next door to the Conference Hotel. Our facility is very near several restaraunts and Wichita’s Towne West Shopping Mall and the Palace Movie Theater.
