 Race Power  Calendar featured      PLN on February calendar. 

 

  We raced for many years with PLN all over the USA and Canada in GT1 TransAm or while we raced in the CanAm Series. He was a racers racer!

In his later years he used his age as his car number. We had 75 but he took it over the year he turned 75. He was a natural race driver.

The picture above is from one of our CanAm promo books. Boy was Gerre skinny and young! PLN always looked young, he didn't change much in those days. It was a thrill to be there when he was there.

GT1
GT1 is just a step down from Pro racing.  Like going left and right, up hills and down? This is where your new racers get their wheel to wheel experience. This is where he/she will find out if he/she has the desire to get out there and compete with the other SCCA Club racers and maybe make that giant step into a professional series. Any driver who wins the GT1 National title is a qualified Rookie for any Sportscar series. The cars are basically the same. They are high horse powered, ground pounding, quality prepared, full blown race cars with experienced drivers at the wheel. Many professional race car drivers come up through GT1 SCCA Regional and National racing. A one month notification prior to each race is needed for GT1 rental.
