Canoeing

The Adirondack park contains some 2,800 lakes and ponds. There are 1,200 miles of wild rivers. The waters of the Adirondacks are beckoning canoeists who are looking for a wilderness adventure. You can almost hear the sound of a paddle breaking the surface of the water as a canoe glides gently through the wilderness. On many of the lakes and ponds the call of the common loon can be heard. It is one of the most beautiful sounds in nature. Children can also enjoy the sights and sounds of the Adirondacks.

Backpacking and Camping

The Adirondacks are among the oldest mountains in the world. As you backpack in the high peaks you will pass through beautiful pine, spruce, and balsam forests. The view from the summit can be inspirin. The rugged beauty of the Adirondacks is truly breathtaking.

Camp is always a welcome sight after a long day on the trail. You may be lucky enough to spend a night in an Adirondack lean-to or you can sleep beneath the stars. The campfire offers a warm haven from the night air.

We will instruct you on low impact camping techniques and also introduce you to the new equipment that is available to the modern backpacker. You will also take a look at how things were in the heydays of the Adirondacks.

Fishing

Fish the remote Adirondack Mountain ponds and streams for native brook trout. Some of the finest fishing can be found in remote wilderness areas. We specialize in true wilderness fishing trips. Your trip into these remote areas will be an adventure you won't likely forget. You may choose to fly, raft, canoe, or backpack into the heart of the Adirondacks.

Raft the thrilling whitewater of the Hudson River Gorge while fishing for trout and bass. As the evening approaches you can enjoy the catch of the day as you warm yourself by the fire.
