Angelica Huston returns to directing with her film "Agnes Browne" based on the best selling Irish novel, "The Mammy." In the film she stars as the film's title character, a woman living in 1967 Dublin who after borrowing money from loan sharks to pay for her husband's funeral, becomes a fruit peddler in the market where she falls in love with a baker (Arno Chevrier) and soon must decide what is of more importance in her life, romance or the welfare of her children.

They say the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree and Ms. Huston's directing is fluid and natural. USA Home Entertainment's DVD edition of "Agnes Browne" features a good anamorphic widescreen at an aspect ratio of (1.78:1) and a full frame transfer for standard televisions. The picture quality is very good without video noise and compression grain and the English Dolby Digital Surround Tracks are clear. English Captions are encoded on to this disc as well.

The Theatrical Trailer and Cast and Crew credits round off this USA Home Entertainment DVD Release. "Agnes Browne" is available on DVD in stores now.
