Thomas was honored on January 24th, 2008 with the "Oklahoma Native Son
Award". B.J. is pictured above with his award. With B.J. is

OG&E Electric Services, who sponsors the Native Son Award. B.J. performed his most known songs for the nearly 400 guests in attendance, including his hit, “Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head.” Other evening highlights included honorees Ralph Tyler along with sons Ty and Tony, owners and operators of Tyler Media, who were awarded the Citizen Of The Year Award; David Attaway, awarded with the Chairman's Award; Jerry Foshee, awarded with Ambassador of the Year; and David Crossland, awarded with Volunteer of the Year. “We were quite pleased with this year’s event,” said Chamber President, Elaine Lyons. “It is the one night a year we get to recognize and celebrate the integral people of the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.” |
