1. "Jacob Kleopfer and Maria Schambach" by Robert D. Kleopfer. This is an 80 page document describing the life of Jacob Kleopfer and Maria Schambach including their immigration to America, their trip to California in 1852 on the Oregon Trail, their return to Indiana in 1859, their children and descendants, and information on other Kleopfer/Kloepfer families in America. 2. "Joys and Tears of Yesteryears" by Anna Luneman Baldwin, 1975. The book can be found in the California State Library at Sacramento. It describes the life of Louis Kleopfer and his wife, Elizabeth Leusbrock who married in St. Louis in 1849. They traveled by wagon train to California in 1852 during the Gold Rush. The author is the granddaughter of Louis Kloepfer, Jacob’s brother (Family #1, Klöpfer, Kloepfer, and Kleopfer ). Much of the information was related by Elizabeth Leusbrock Kloepfer to Mary O'Toole, her oldest granddaughter, and to other members of the family.

3. "Kloepfer-Klöpfer Genealogy & More" by William Wesley Kloepfer and Bill Kloepfer, 1993. William Wesley Kloepfer is great great grandson of Dionys Klöpfer, a descendant of Jorg Klopfer (Family # 5, Klöpfer, Kloepfer, and Kleopfer). Bill is his son. The book is 233 pages and describes the family in some detail. It has been placed in genealogy libraries in Chicago, New York, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Buhl, Germany, and Maryhill, Canada.
