Cana "wine"
> (R1) Drank, Drunk, Drunken (R1Drank.96Jan29:23:53.FAQ)
>>>Curious Questioner> I heard one man say that the reason the disciples could not stay awake was because of the wine that they had with the Passover meal.>>RC> Nonsense. It was well after their normal bedtime. And there is NO mention of "wine" in any of the accounts of the last supper. They had the "fruit of the vine" there, and the grapes were freshly "pressed" into the "cup."
>CQ> Considering it was Pesach, the 'fruit of the vine' in the cups probably was wine. No, the "fruit" was FRUIT.
>CQ> If Jesus disapproved of wine, then He would not have turned the water into it at the wedding at Cana, and that He sure did do.There were -six- apostles in the cluster that attended the marriage where Jesus NEWLY turned the WATER in the cluster-of-six-waterpots filled to the brim, into "good" ("sweet savour") -new- wine. The six apostles: 1= Jesus (Heb.3:1 :) 2= John Zebedee, 3= Andrew, 4= Simon ("called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone."), 5= Philip, 6= Nathanael "of Cana." (Peter was called -A- stone, and there were -six- waterpots of "stone" at the marriage. LIVELY STONES! :)
