Did you know that the King of King's English of the AV1611 (Author's Version) has more than 26 letters? As the book of Revelation is the 27th book of the New Testament, so also the 27th letter is a matter of revelation. Let your eyes be opened to behold that special letter in the famous passage of the gospel of Mark where the blind receive sight --
AV_Mark 10:46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimæus, the son of Timæus, sat by the highway side begging.
Mk.10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
Mk.10:48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
Mk.10:49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
Mk.10:50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
Mk.10:51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
Mk.10:52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
That's right! Æ! The A&E Ligature (html #230 aelig; or #198 AElig;) is the whole 27th letter - an A for Adam married to an E for Eve, and, What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder! A Ligature is something that binds or ties together, as when a man and woman "tie the knot" to become one flesh in holy matrimony. The lower case æ in fact looks like a knot, as when (in the days before velcro fasteners on shoes :) shoelaces are tied with two loops and two trailing ends showing. (Well, it looks like an æ if you tie a "granny" knot instead of a Boy Sprout "square" knot. Grin. :)
"But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."
