Phoenix, AZ Area's Four Peaks With Snow

Just a few miles northeast of the Phoenix metropolitan area lies a long narrow range called the Mazatzal Mountains. This range runs north northwest to south southeast and includes Mt. Ord, Mazatzal Peak and Four Peaks.

The photos are all of Four Peaks, which can easily be seen from Mesa and most cities in the Phoenix metro area. The photos were taken December 26, 1997. A storm passed through the area Christmas Eve. day so . . . who says we can't have a white Christmas in the Arizona desert?
