For the past year, I’ve been working on a grant project that serves as a last ditch opportunity for women on welfare who have failed get jobs. For the most part, these women have been chewed up and spit out by both "the system", and the struggles of poverty. Obviously, they have reason to be very guarded, demoralized, cynical, and angry.
