Directing Team
| Riverport's frontline director is Cathie Zimmerman. Cathie first sang barbershop harmony in a quartet in high school, continuing her musical edification
by majoring in voice at Northern Illinois University. The following 12 years were spent on
the musical theatre stage, honing her skills in both dance and voice. Cathie's Sweet
Adeline years have been filled with constant quartetting activity.
She has taken home six regional championship wins, most recently with Contagious, who also captured 7th Place at
international competition in 2002 and 2003. She is a Master Director, and is an
active member on the Region 22 Faculty, teaching classes focused on quartet singing as
well as coaching quartets and choruses and giving individual voice lessons. She resides in
Greenfield, Wisconsin, with her wonderful husband Bob, two children, a kitten, and a Basset
Hound named "Phoebe". |

Musical Director |
| Riverport's newest addition to the directing team is Susan
Musgrave. She joined Sweet Adelines as a member of the Forked River Chorus in
1979, serving as an assistant director and interim director, as well as a baritone section
leader in the years since then. In her non-Sweet Adeline life, Susan is an elementary
school teacher at St. John's Lutheran School in Burlington. She also teaches middle school
students Language Arts, Music, Art and Science. She is very involved in her church,
where she sings in two choirs and teaches a weekly Bible study class. |
