Hale-Bopp photo
by Tom Wicker

The Natchez Trace was here the last time  this comet visited the Earth over 4000 years ago, and the visit before that, and the visit before that, and....  Of course the comet wasn't called Hale-Bopp back then, but the road wasn't called the Natchez Trace either.

Hale-Bopp Revisits the Natchez Trace

We have a special treat for you.  Click on this picture of the Hale-Bopp Comet to visit Tom Wicker's Web Site (Tom took the picture) and see his photographs of the comet taken along the Natchez Trace Parkway.  This one was taken at the Black Belt Overlook just south of Tupelo, Mississippi.
