As I wandered through records and cemeteries, I
found that many of my ancestors, near and far, served their country from
the war of 1812 through Vietnam. There are many Veteran Cemetery markers
and pictures of ancestors in uniform. Some didn't make it back home and never
had the chance to have families for us to research. Some are forever changed
from the experience. We should not forget - and we should honor them. If
they are still around, thank them while you can...
Thanks for serving our Country Dave. I'm so thankful you
came back from Vietnam ok. I love you.
Sadly,
Dave died on July 4, 2002 at the age of 55 years, 6 months, 10 days. He left
a mighty big hole in my heart. This picture was taken on May 20, 2002. Dave
requested that his ashes be placed at Jordan
Cemetery with our Dad.
