Jack Dancer
| Single and Looking!! |
Hi, my name is Jack Dancer. I am a beautiful Irish Terrier. Back in January of 1999, when I was 6 months old, I was left at a Vet's office in Mississippi with another dog. I didn't weigh that much and I had a slight fracture in my hip. That was so scary. I didn't have much hope because I knew my medical bills were going to be high, and it would have been cheaper to put me to sleep. But thanks to some fine people from the Irish Terrier Culb of America, I was rescued. This nice lady named Amy Sumners, Kelson Irish Terriers, Jackson, MS, picked me up and cared for me. She helped me put on some weight and restored my hope for love and life. I will always remember how she carried me up those steps. On her way to Westminster, Amy delivered me to Nan Bruner's, Piney Flats, TN. Nan is Chairperson of the ITCA's Rescue. I also enjoyed my time with Nan. She had 3 Irish Terriers of her own. She also had these cool Golden Retrievers staying with her. When I got stronger and when no one was looking, I stole a few sniffs from this fine looking female Golden. I knew then, I was becoming a man!!
One day in February 1999, these 2 cool guys came to Nan's and brought me to their home in Watertown, NY. It was a long drive, but on the way, I heard all these songs by a group called the Beatles. I was getting worried though, because the longer we drove, the colder it got. Soon there was this cold white stuff on the ground. It is fun to play in, but it sure can get cold. I learned fast how to make the snow turn yellow. I must admit, I like it at my new home. I play with my best friend Ronny all the time. He is a very good hockey player. His dad feeds me real good. He is a big pushover. Anytime I do something bad, all I have to do is look at him and tilt my head and he gets this smile on his face. Ronny is learning how to do this too!! I just got a clean bill of health at my new Vets. One day, I am going to be a Therapy dog for Hospice. Don't you agree that I am just one fine looking dog?
