JLoehde: I ordered The Way It Happened from book store in Traverse but don't remember name
VWilson577: We may have to figure out how to find the publisher or the author.
VWilson577: A bookstore could do a search if the book is still listed in "Books in Print"
E6363: I'll try that Amazon also. Even for the Bridge book.
JLoehde: Is Amazon a net site?
VWilson577: Amazon.com It's the name of the store and the site.
VWilson577: They are in Seattle, but claim they can get books from anywhere.
E6363: Vicki did you ever get the "History of Leelanau" that was published a few years ago?
VWilson577: Read it, but never bought it.
E6363: There is a used bookstore in Northport that had a copy when we were up

Gauthier

E6363: ? What are "dit" names, I've seen that term and never understood it.
JLoehde: I have the dit name book and most make no sense
JLoehde: It means the same as or name called
E6363: Like AKA?
JLoehde: according to my French dictionary
JLoehde: yes
JLoehde: it explained that the Indian pronounced Gauthier as Gokee
JLoehde: But most don't seem to have rhyme or reason to the change
JLoehde: Do I hit log manager to find my log again or do I have to search for it????
VWilson577: You need to hit log manager to stop the logging. Then if you forgot
VWilson577: where it was saved to, hit open log but don't save anything - it should
VWilson577: show what directory it wants to save to.
JLoehde: O-K when I did that I heard my A drive run so it may have worked!
JLoehde: I will look under Indians in MI in Books in Print and see if it is listed there instead of under Methodists
